our mission
For 100 years, The Mary Crane Center has
been dedicated to the comprehensive early development of urban dwelling
children and their families through a variety of services and support.
The goal is to provide quality education in a safe and diverse environment
and to strengthen the bonds between children and their families. By
involving families in their child’s learning process, the children
are ensured a more powerful experience that they will carry with them
through life.
In addition to a long tradition of education and development in the Chicago community,
Mary Crane Center continues to grow in order to meet the changing needs of our
families. Our dynamic teaching methods encourage each child to bring his or her
individuality and experiences into the classroom. By identifying a child's likes,
dislikes, struggles, and strengths, teachers can enhance each child’s personal
education and help them to develop the life skills they need to achieve his or
her goals.
