The Mary Crane Center is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:

  • Education Coordinator
    The Education Coordinator provides training and technical assistance to Teaching Staff, Site Directors and others to support the agency’s early childhood development programs. The Education Coordinator contributes to the program goals and is responsible for the facilitation of the education component at all sites. It is the responsibility of the Education Coordinator to work directly with children, parents and staff and to maintain open communication with them in order to ensure a quality education program.

  • Classroom Floater
    Classroom floaters for Early Childhood and Head Start programs assist Lead Teachers in planning and implementing learning experiences that advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of children within a safe, healthy learning environment. They encourage the involvement of the families of the children of the program and support the development of relationships between children and their families.

    The Food Aide provides support for the Early Childhood and Head Start programs by coordinating the food programs for the agency.

  • Food Aide/Maintenance
    Ensures general maintenance of equipment, facility and grounds in accordance with safety and sanitation requirements. Monitors and transports stock and supplies under immediate supervision of the Site Director. / The Food Aide provides support for the Early Childhood and Head Start programs by coordinating the food programs for the agency.

  • Paraprofessional-Molade Site
    The role of the paraprofessional is to provide additional support in the Head Start classrooms where preschool children with pre-diagnosed moderate to severe disabilities are enrolled in any site at Mary Crane Center. The paraprofessional’s goal is to assist in providing a well-organized, smooth functioning classroom environment in which all children can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.

  • Family Worker – Full Time
    The Family Worker carries out goals, policies and activities designed to meet the social service component performance standards as outlined in the Head Start Program management plans as overseen by the Site Director. Supportive services are provided to the site in the areas of mental health, social services, family involvement, special needs and community partnerships in accordance with the Head Start performance Standards and Chicago Early Learning Manual.
