By Mary Crane Center
At Mary Crane Center, our Home-based Program is hard at work supporting families of young children, birth to 3, through weekly home visits and twice monthly socializations.
Our program also serves expectant parents – moms and dads “-to-be”, in neighborhoods all across Chicago, to help them prepare for this new baby and support a successful, healthy birth.
Part of this preparation includes having the necessary items needed for a new baby. So the focus of a recent socialization was our prenatal families.
Expectant parents received car seats, breast pumps/bottle storage sets as well as standard bottle sets. Other items included basic bath essentials gift sets and pregnancy pillows.
In addition to receiving those gifts, Tiffany Cooks from Old Second Bank talked with families about home ownership and Andrea Chairse from the PHP agency discussed financial planning for long and short-term goals.
Mary Crane Center is currently enrolling new families.
